NUMBERS 16:1-3
Korah the son of Izhar, the son of Kohath, the son of Levi, and Dathan and Abiram the sons of Eliab, and On the son of Pelet, of the sons of Reuben, took people,
And they rose up against Moses with two hundred and fifty men of the children of Israel, princes of the congregation, of those of the council, men of renown.
And they gathered against Moses and Aaron and said to them: Enough of you! For the whole congregation, all of them are holy, and Jehovah is in the midst of them; why then exalt yourselves above the congregation of the Lord?”
Betrayal is one of satan’s favorite arguments to try to damage the heart of the son of GOD.
Moses, a man chosen and supported by God to try to lead the Hebrew people from slavery in Egypt to reach the promised land for them.
It must not have been easy at all for his own brothers, for those who saw the glory of God through Moses to dare to rise up against him.
But such is the nature of human beings…
He does not care about the damage he causes as long as he achieves his pettiest interests.
Must it have hurt Moses’ soul?
Of course.
But beyond the pain that this rebellion could cause Moses, there was the fact that his heart was kept in God, which is why he did not look for an army to quell the rebellion, but verse 4 says that Moses prostrated himself on his face.
That’s how it is.
Instead of seeking the solution to this rebellion by showing his leadership and his favoritism with the people he prostrated himself…
He humbled himself.
He did not use his strength.
He just bowed down.
But why ?
Many times I have heard from the mouths of many Christians:
Let’s be meek, but not stupid.
which denotes the clear intention of facing circumstances and even rebellions using his own forces and his own logic. Terrible decision.
Moses is considered by the Bible to be a meek man.
What shows us that he had to live a process in which his temperament was treated by God.
Moses was an expert on battles.
It is possible that you who are reading this are currently going through rebellions like Korah’s in your ministry……
It is possible that in your place of work, or in the place where you study,…
-Or even worse, in your own home, you are facing situations that test your temperament…
Well, don’t forget the story of Moses.
Do not forget or overlook that instead of using his strength, he allowed God to show his glory.
The result ?
*Let’s read in Numbers 26:10
“And the earth opened its mouth and swallowed them and Korah, when that group died, when the fire consumed two hundred and fifty men, to serve as a lesson.”
— The judgment of GOD manifested.
I mention the following:
— Being meek is not being stupid.
— To be meek is to be so wise that you are simply giving the Almighty God the front of your battle.
— To be meek is to show the fruit of what the Holy Spirit is doing within you.
— To be meek is to be an imitator of Christ.
— Being meek makes you an expert in battle.
May your enemies breakdown and be swallowed in victory in Jesus Christ’s name. Amen and Amen. May the plans of your enemies turn upside down and destroy them in Jesus Christ’s name. Amen and Amen. Thank you Lord Jesus Christ!
